CAI Takes Part in Haki Ni Yetu Project Onboarding Workshop in Turkana

Climate Action Initiative (CAI) recently participated in the Onboarding Workshop for Turkana Grantees held on 14th April 2026, marking an important step in the implementation of the Haki Ni Yetu Project.

As one of the selected grantees, CAI will be implementing a project focused on empowering communities for climate justice and environmental rights in Turkana County.

The initiative places strong emphasis on ensuring that grassroots voices, especially those of women and youth, are actively included in climate governance and decision-making processes.

The onboarding workshop provided a platform for alignment, learning, and collaboration among partners, setting the foundation for impactful and community-driven interventions.

Through this project, CAI aims to strengthen local capacity, promote inclusion, and support sustainable climate solutions tailored to the realities of Turkana.

The project is funded by the European Union in Kenya, InformAction Kenya, KIOS Foundation, and the CSO Network, whose support continues to advance climate justice efforts across communities.
